Art Train USA cars made by Lionel

I have several of the Art Train cars made by Lionel.

Does anybody else like them and have actually bought them?

There is an entire list on the Art Train USA website. Most of the cars have the roadnames of the real railroads that have helped move the train.

They had a repeat run of the O Gauge Grand Trunk Western Double-Door Boxcar made in the 1980's.

There is a hard to find Art Train & Conrail Auto Carrier.

The Burlington Northern Gondola with ArtTrain Covers is a great car.

They had Lionel make a Chessie System Reefer. I bought two.

There was CSX Flat Car with a Trailer featuring Art Train USA graphics.

There was a Union Pacific Bunk Car. It matches the Union Pacific Depressed Center Flat Car with Bulldozer made earlier.

If the Art Train USA Train stops near your town stop and take a look inside.

Andrew, We did have the ART TRAIN visit our town. It was neat to take in. I did see some of the cars for sale in the gift shop, but did not buy as they were a bit pricey. I have also seen some on Ebay, but my bride has placed me under train restricion, so I have to limit my purchases. Oh Well.

The reason why the cars are so expensive is that over 50% of the price is part of a donation to ARTRAIN. There is an article about ARTRAIN in the July 2006 issue of TRAINS.
