Did the boxcar come with the long metal pin that goes through the hole in the roof? This pin is what keeps the car from exploding while in transit. The pin is removed when the car is stationary so a projectile can blow it up. If the pin is missing, you can fabricate one from a metal coat hanger. Have fun.

Does the car look to be 100% intact? As the price is on the low side for this car, Greenberg's Pocket Price guide lists it at between $14 & 37.
