I just picked up the new SD-40-2 Chessie Diesel from my local hobby shop. I usually purchase loco from Williams, due to the fact I have conventional power on my layout . ( Always had great luck with Williams items).
This new Lionel Diesel is EXCELLENT, has scale detail,horn,lights and SMOKE,all for $264,a great buy. If your an operator like me who doesn't need all the high end electronics, this is just the ticket!
I think if Lionel keeps producing conventional trains like this,they will give Williams something to think about[:)]
I've alread ordered the matching dummy unit!
