No, it can be used over and over again. Chip reprograms a scrambled PS-1 board. After he reprogramming you can usually put the original sound chip back in without any problems. Of course if the original sound chip was damaged (issue beyond "srambling") you will need o replace it.

Is this a "One Time Use" item ? Looked on the MTH site and it doesn't say so I am assuming it isn't. You know what they say about "assume".
