New Here- What does the "T" number on box mean? date?

Revell was a plastic model kit manufacturer that started in the early 50's. I believe they marketed some of the Rapido line under the Revel name in the mid 50's:

Since it is an H.O. set may I suggest going over to he Model Trains forum, same website just a differant forum. That is where I believe they are mainly into H.O. & N gauge trains and you should be able to find almost all the information you want. Just for your knowledge most of the stuff here on this forum is about O gauge or S gauge(American Flyer).

Hmm, Revell started out making trains , from what information I've found so far. Yes American. It is a Ho set . Revell does make model cars and such still now. All the boxes inside the main box have T # , I believe all trains do dont they?

I have not heard of Revell Trains. Have heard of Revell Model cars. Is the train set H.O.
or O gauge? H.O. is about two inches high to two& a half inches for locomotives, O gauge is about four inches high to five inches high depending on make & model.
Any information as to what the T means I don't know. Also are you talking American trains or European trains?

thank you, Revell Train set. Box is stamped on outside Atlantic Coast line switcher T 7077:1995. Trains inside box all marked 1956. Outside box is in great shape and wanted to know if this is original box or newer? Wasnt sure if that T number was date or what?
