Reuben,

That's great news. If that's the one I'm thinking of it is the Southern in the green paint scheme. I will have to check with my dealer to see if mine is in too! On Lionel's website I see they have also shipped the Matching passenger cars in the 2 pack. The 4 pack and station car have not shipped yet.

Yes, Tom
Thats the one. I had put my name for one way back on Dec. 2005. I guess I should now put my name on one of thier E7 set (6-24574) before they go (Aug 06).

Mine has been delivered to my house in Virginia, but I'm (SOB) temporarily working in Puerto Rico! Life ain't fair.

Hang in there Tim. Some places are sold out of this engine before they are received. It must be good. I hope so. I would hate to be disappionted (all these months of waiting).
On the west coast, we had the P-10's on the Southern Pacific and this PS-4 is the closest thing to the P-10. I'm looking forware to this engine.

Hi Reuben,
Got home from Puerto Rico yesterday, and finally unpacked the new PS-4 today.
Here are my first impressions.
1. Railsounds 5.0 steam sounds are really great. It sounds about as real as it can get. Man, that whistle is fabulous!
2. Slow speed running with Odyssey ON is very smooth right out of the box.
3. No glitches noted with TMCC yet....
4. Fit and finish appear to be flawless. All details might not be exactly prototypical, but that really doesn't matter to me.
5. My son and his friends are running it to death, so it must be good.
Did I mention the whistle?
How do you like yours?

Hi Tim,
Thank you so much for the information! I have not gotten mine yet untill this coming Monday. I'm way in the west coast (San Jose, CA) and I lost a day with the Mem. holiday and UPS says Monday. Anyway I'm very happy you wrote me with the results and info. It's been killing me. The whistle was my big question, and if you liked it then I will like it too, Tim. Thanks again friend,
Reuben
