A good site that gives a history of AHM and a complete list of all their products is http://tycotrain.tripod.com/ahmhoscaletrainscollectorsresource/ . Definetly worth visiting if you want to find out more about AHM.

"AHM" stands for "Associated Hobby Manufacturers". The name was apparently used for models made by various companies in HO and N scales. It is now called "IHC", for "International Hobby Co." I suggest that you search on the web for "Associated Hobby Manufacturers" to learn more. (Searching for "AHM" will only get you people selling the models.)

You would probably have much better luck if you post your question on the "Model Railroader" forum, where HO and N people hang out. This forum is for toy trains, like Lionel and American Flyer, that is, mostly O and S gauge tinplate.

Or you could forget about AHM and HO and join us in the wonderful world of tinplate!

Morning All,
I am just getting started in this hobby. My brother told me about some AHM train componets, a friend of his has. Any comments about this brand or what I should or shouldn't try to buy.
Thanks,
TK in Tn.
