Has anyone ever added a front coupler to a Railking steam loco?

There were two companion articles, titled "Doublehead those steamers!", on page 86 of the January, 1999, CTT on how to add front couplers in ways that did not permanently alter the locomotives.

I have several Railking steamers with PS2 and would like to doublehead them in a lashup. Unfortunatly none have front couplers. Has anyone ever added front couplers to them? They could be dummies, dont need to be coil couplers or even operating. Looking for suggestions.
