Hello, it's me again! Can't find two words that mean so much: "Many thanks" to all for your help, advice and information. This 'older' guy learns more with each of your posts.

I entirely agree with the sentiments of this thread. It's unfortunately quite rare to find the mellow helpfulness and general air of cheerful optimism that permeates this group. To echo Neil Young "Long may you run!"

Tmcc man,

I echo your sentiments entirely. This is a very helpful group, and it is nice when some one points it out once in a while.

Keep on training,

When a site works properly, like this one does, it can become a virtual train shop. For those who don't have access to a brick and morter store this is about the best way to learn the ropes, find out how stuff works and exchange ideas and get help with problems/issues.

One advantage it has over a real train shop is most of the people involved aren't trying to push something or sell something to you. The "community" at large has a common interest in trains in general and toy trains in particular and has a general desire to help their fellow enthusiasts out. It should be noted that his site hosts not only the other Kalmbach related train publications but also the model railroad magazine data base, a tremendous resource that sometimes gets overlooked.

Oh, everything is fine, but I just wanted to show my appreciation of you guys. People like you guys are very informative, not just about trains, but about life and how you have to appreciate it. (Chuck and a few others helped me with Jackie too, so that counts as well.) And I do not plan on leaving anytime soon.
