Southern PS-4

Does anybody know what's happened to Lionel on the PS-4 engine coming out[?]
I put my order way back on Dec.15 of last year for Jan delivery. Lionel change it to Feb then to Mar, April now May...Is the Company doing all right?? Or just simply behind on this Engine. The dealer keeps telling me to just have patience. I'm just like I was as a kid 53 years ago in Christmas.
By the way, I'm a brand new member and I feel very happy with you guys.

Reuben,

Welcome to the Forum. The guys here are a great bunch of guys and I have learned a lot from them. I've actually met a bunch of them and we have had some fun talking trains and all kinds of things.

I also ordered the PS4 way back last year. It doesn't surprise me that Lionel has pushed back the delivery date. I don't think this is all that uncommon. The Web site now says May and I hope they are right. One thing I've heard that is anything that is coming into the US ports that has electronics in them is subject to inspection. This may be slowing things down. Keep us posted here when yours comes in.

I have the Southern #1403 Ps-4 it on order also Reuben.
Delay is pretty much par for the course in o-gauge trains. Before Christmas my Dealer predicted late spring early summer for delivery . He is not cynical---just been through it countless times before.
It will be my 5th Southern Ps-4 but I am just as anxious to see it as anyone.
