Mike, and trains in good or restorable condition, would be a good find. While I doubt they are worth all that much, you may want to check the book values or even search ebay for what the items are selling for. Good luck.

Mike,

It depends on just what you have here. If that tender is a cast metal unit it will have more value. If that crane car is the cast metal unit with operating hoist and hook it would be worth a little bit. Like previously recommended poke around on Ebay under Marx trains and see what is currently out there. Or clean them up and run them.... after you but some stuff off Ebay! 8-)

Marx made a wide variety of styles of trains and so if you could give a better description of the tender and crane, I could give a good idea of their value. Are they made out of metal or plastic? Do they have 4 or 8 wheels? Marx NYC tenders of all types are for the most part pretty common and worth around $10-$15, although there are a few exceptions. Cranes are more desireable, though. The most common ones are around $20-$40, but there are some cranes that can bring in as much as $100. Like I say, with a better description, I could give you a more definite value. As for the track and transformers, they have very little value.
