I also have a Max Gray Brass O Gauge UP 4-8-8-4 Big Boy, several cars and a few old Lionel trackside accessories.

Hello and welcome to the forum,
sounds like a nice steam locomotive, is it Lionel or American Flyer or Ives? Just asking as from your last post about a rheostat those would more than likely be the companies making model trains at that time. Most of my knowledge is in the post-war to early 70's Lionel and modern K-Line or Williams, hate to seem like I have been a traiter to Lionel but I am looking for decent quality at an affordable price.
I have two pre-war sets; one has a 224E locomotive with 2640, 2641 passenger cars with box & pin couplers, the other is a freight set with a 249E locomotive with a 2225T tender and 2653 hopper, 3659 coal dump car, 2657 caboose with 1938 electric uncouplers.

The Max Gray brass Big Boy, if that's truly what it is, is a 2 rail DC locomotive made in O Scale to run on O gauge track (not 3 rail Lionel!). I believe they were imported in the 1960s. I'm guessing, but I think the minimum radius was up around 60 inches (O-120). The O gauge brass imports were relatively expensive in the '60s - probably around $200. Must be a huge, heavy loco. Market would be quite limited, but value in good condition if you can find somebody to pay it, would likely be over $1000.
