I'm afraid the best I can do is point you to Dave Vergun's "blogg", which has some pictures of the flatcars. They are Lionel 51600s. I cut off the ends of the platform, reshaped them, and mounted them directly to the span bolsters. Then I created new center bearings located directly on the inboard trucks and closer together than the centers of those trucks. The small end platforms slide partly under the main platform going around corners.

The car the GP4.5 is towing is also modified - it's part of the frame of an oversized MILW boxcar by K-Line, along with some plastic and wooden blocks and the Scotchbrite pads. I'm using the box part as a store room at Junction station. You can see it a bit here

Let's see, I think Jim means this one
I cut out the middle of a K-Line GP9 to make a one-truck GP4.5 as a sort of poor man's switcher for my electric line. I mean to add a pantograph some day. I'm thinking of making a sort of slug out of the rest of this engine which you can dimmly see in the back.

Doug Murphy has the most modified locomotive I've seen, and Bob Nelson has the most modified flat car I've ever seen. Maybe they will post photos.
