Last K-Line Catalog?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 30, 2006 11:55 AM
Hello,

Does anyone know when the last K-Line catalog was published. I have the K-Line 2005 First Edition. Was a Second Edition for 2005 published? I think K-Line failed before the distribution of a 2006 Edition.

There was a 2005 second edition published. I have it. It was pretty thin. Superstreets was highlighted.

There was a 2005 2nd edition but it was very small........just a little more than a flyer.

The K-Line Second Edition 2005 was so small because the company already spent most ot the catalog budget on the First Edition 2005.

It's probably worth holding on to those K-Line catalogs for a few years 'cause there's a good chance that paper and ephemera collectors will be hunting for them at some point in the future. For better or worse, having a toy train (or other) company go belly-up is almost always a good sign for those who collect those products.

Hey, I got the last prize for "naming that part", and it was posted in the final catalog that was sent out. Kinda neat to have my name in the last K-line catalog. Anyway, I do hope to keep it. I would have preferred to have many more K-line catalogs and never have my name in any of them.
