Yes, I did one using the Motor Mite from Digital Dynamics. When the electronic E-unit is removed, you have some room. Mine didn't have the horn unit, so everything did clear but it was close! I didn't install RS, so I can't comment on that. You may have to fabricate a small wire harness and locate the RS unit inside the cab area. Outline the shell perimeter on the base so you can get a good idea how to align the new board before attaching it. If yours is a two-motor unit, remember to connect opposing leads from each (yellow to blue, yellow to blue) or each motor will pull against the other!

Have any of you guys done an upgrade to TMCC & RS on any of the Lionel RS-3's ? The shell is quite a bit narrower than the K-Lines so space is somewhat of a concern and the similar Atlas locos are just to pricey. [?][?][?]
