Nope, too much travel and, when home, Roseyville business. Glad to see you are OK. [:)]

I'll be visiting Bob this evening. Been trying to reach Jim Duda since I got here but just get his answering machine. You there Jim??? (I lost my cell phone earlier in the week so I'm a bit hard to get ahold of).

Visited Ed Weltens and his lovely wife yesterday evening at a restaurant with a strange name: ThreadGill. He dismantled his old layout and is planning a new one & he gave me a preview of some sketches. His wife even allowed him a room!

Dave - Threadgills is an Austin landmark...good food and lots of it. I'm here, but have been busy running errands during the day since Karen and I are both off for Spring Break. Hope you were able to run the bike paths along town lake - scenery is great! (wink)

Ed called me this afternoon (Tuesday) and said you guys hooked up and had a good time.
Small Layouts are cool! Low post counts are even more cool! NO GRITS in my pot!!!

Dave came over last night; and we spent a few very enjoyable hours playing with and talking about trains. You can get the feeling that you know folks after a while from their forum postings. But, when you meet face-to-face, you realize how inadequate the impression you get over the internet is, compared to the pleasure of a personal encounter.

Dave took some pictures; and I hope he will post a few when he gets back.

Did Dave get Bob's famous spaghetti? If so, I'm jealous. [;)]

Unfortunately, Dave's duties kept him away until well after supper time.
