Well, I went to their site & it doesn't seem to have any prices any better than those who advertize in CTT. Never saw their site before, may be new ! You may have to call them.

They've been advertiseing in CTT for years. Very reputable. TK Hobby Shop - Bridgeport Ohio. John isnt that YOUR state. Come on now, we have to put up with all the Ohioans. You should know your hobby shops!

Where have you found the best Lionel pre-order prices? Have you compared them to other places?

No experience with them, but the prices seem reasonable. My experience with on line ordering has been to buy less expensive items and see how they handle my order, if they do well, then try the more expensive items. I have a dealer that I have full confidence in, and do all my major purchases through. The little extra money that I would save on big purchases by searching for the cheapest is not worth the worry and not worth any inconvenience that I would have in dealing with someone I don't know.

I am not telling you who to use, just that I would pick one or two dealers that are fair priced and that you can build a reputation with should you have a concern or problem. If this place works out, by all means post your satisfaction and perhaps others will try them too.
Off my soapbox, I don't know what kind and how much experience you have in the hobby, I just hate to see someone get burned. I have never been, but hope you and everyone will be cautious in dealing with an unknown.

Yes, I know the shop in Bridgeport, Ohio. I've been there and they have a good selection. I was especially impressed by the amount of Weaver they had in stock. It reminded me of a general store, with two overstuffed chairs sitting by the entrance where the regulars came, sat and talked trains with the owner.

In fact, just the other day, when I was talking to the Chief about his trip to Ohio, I mentioned T&K as a place he might want to visit.
