Amazing. The seller probably lost close to $100, maybe more, listing in the wrong category. Good deal for you.

It is older but has the same power as the later "275" watt version. They have the same coil . Lionel just changed the way they measured the power. Great deal!

There is at least one change and that is where the data plate is mounted, the 275 watt has the data plate on the top of it. Should have plenty of power, I can run four trains at once on my 275 watt ZW. Posts A & D have the whistle feature and direction button, don't work with posts B & C.

Whether 250 or 275 watt that rating is input wattage at the primary. The net output is about 180-90 watts and, in my experience, that level dwindles some upon continous running for loss of effiicency due to heat..
Nevertheless a good transformer for 50 more years if properly reconditioned----new cord, rollers/wipers, binding posts and whistle/horn rectifiers. Since the circuit breaker, even if replaced is unreliable, protection with fast-blow fuses is a good solution. I and many others built "Breaker Boxes" for use with the ZW using with Potter-Brumfield thermal breakers. But they are rated at a comparatively slow 02-15 seconds interruption time.

A very nice find! You might want to get it serviced with new cord, rollers, etc. before cranking it up on your layout.

Hope he does not charge you $100 to ship it. Alway get shipping cost upfront before bidding. I once paid $100 to ship a $120 purchase, ( it was still a good deal.)
I got my ZW 250 at a local train show for $90 - no sales tax and no shipping.
Looks like you need a green lens for the power light, a parts dealer should have one for about $1.

He only charged me $15 to ship it, so i'm not complaining.. I'll plan on replacing the cord when i get it, and check the rollers. Should be fun. I have a few questions concerning circuit breakers, but i'll make a new thread...
