MRC w/o DCC vs DC power pack

Hi everyone,

I got an MRC HO Scale 1472 w/o DCC locomotive. My power packs are regular DCs. The locomotive does not run (only the lights). Is it related to a problem with the engine, or because of my power pack?

Jeff,
I am sure someone here can help, but you may get quicker response on the Model Railroader forum as most of the guys here are into O scale/guage. Many of us have some experience with HO, but as for me, it is too limited to help you.
