I have had two Southern versions since 1988 ----one green, one black, I have not run them in several years. I am just now having my Williams N&W "J",[bought at the same time as the 2-8-2s], remotored and equipped with TM/RS 4.0 by Frank Timko.

Installing Pittman Flywheel motors significantly improves the old Williams brass engine's operation. Costs about $65 for installation of motor and new motor coupling. I will probably install Pittmans in my two Mikados and leave them as conventional opreration although I operate mostly in TMCC.
