Atlas O produced a special run of the Chicago & North Western Pullman-Standard 4427 Cu. Ft. Low-Side 3-Bay Covered Hopper. It is also available through Just Trains.

You might be able to find it through some other dealers.

The Dark Green is only one of many CNW paint schemes applied to the PS 4427 Hoppers between when they rolled out of the plant and the CNW-UP merger in 1995.
There have been several shades of Green and Yellow applied to these Hoppers. The graphics were altered frequently as well.

The Chicago & North Western Historical Society has details on CNW Hoppers in their book The Chicago & North Western Final Freight Car Roster.

If you need a Burlington Northern PS-2 High-Sided Covered-Hopper check the Weaver section at the Just Trains website www.justrains.com. There were some on sale a few months ago.

MTH Announced BN PS-2-CD Covered Hoppers in the 2006 Volume I Catalog.

Lionel made a PS-2 high sided 3 bay covered hopper decorated CNW. I think it was the 4427 series? I printed it out a year ago (but lost it) but can't find the Lionel # for this car. Does anyone know if Lionel or other made PS-2 high sided covered hoppers decorated for Burlington Northern also?
