Icing Station
Posted by luther_stanton on Saturday, February 18, 2006 9:05 PM
My wife recently purchased a 1989 version icing station for me on Ebay. It was “new in box” and arrived in good condition – looks like it had never been used, etc. I hooked it up this evening and no action. The motor ran, but the ice guy did not move.

I removed the motor / gear assembly from the platform and looked everything over. I was unable to get the gear box apart – looks like there are three tabs but I did not want to break anything. After removing the gear box from the structure and trying to run the motor again the gears started to spin and the output shaft started turning. I re-assembled everything and ran it through a couple of cycles.

I came back two hours later and it is not working again – the motor spins but ice guy does not move. Any thoughts as to what is going on? Is it time to take it to a service station? Any recommendations (I am in GA – Atlanta area or OK with sending it off) for a good service place?

Thanks,
Luther
