Atlas O track is code 215. It is a bit tall, but Atlas O made it that way so as to be able to mate seamlessly with O27 height tubular track.

My best guess with a tape measure is code 250 - that is the rail (rail only) is 0.250 inches high. To be sure, measure the rail height with calipers. Code 148 rail is generally accepted as correct to O scale for modern main lines. Pre-war and some post-war flanges are probably too deep to run on Code 148.

But I don't think the rail code has ever been considered particularly important in 3 rail O. More important is shimming different track systems to get their overall vertical heights (ties plus rail) to match.

A Quicky Question. What code is the Atlas 21 Century NS track? I did not see it listed in the atlas catalog.

Thanks,

Bobby
