I have both the diesel and the steam, I think they are great. When I use the whistle with the PE, it sure sounds good. Go for it.

I like mine also. Hi rail it may not be (Chug stops during whistle), but for adding sound to a conventional 027 layout it is PERFECT.

Also try the station sounds by blowing the whistle while stopped.

Just rec'd diesel trainsound box car this week. I am using with a Williams diesel and am happy with it. Because it operates off the Whistle Button on your transformer you will get the whistle sound from the boxcar and the engine both. On the Williams engine the whistle is three blasts so I am living with it as is , of course you could disconnect the engines speaker if you preferred. Overall I find the trainsound car a very good sound option. Would recommend it. Got mine from Charles Ro for about $75. Good luck.

I have a beep and wanted to get this box car for it so it can have sound.

Ps.Beeps are a veary good prouduct I suggjest buying them if you want a really good looking switcher you can find them at www.rmt.com.
