Who's looking for tinplate?
Posted by tjsprague on Friday, February 17, 2006 7:23 AM
Tried to find a post I read a coupe days ago but couldn't. In it the writer explained he was trying to add buildings to a prewar layout and was discouraged about crazy prices.

Well here's a #117 station (without the outside lights) in pretty good shape....

I'm not the seller, nor do I endorse this, but it demonstrates that sometimes deals just show up one ebay, at trains shows, etc. Just realize you may have to wait a bit.

I use the MTH tinplate as "placeholders" for some of the more expensive peices, keeping the boxes in hope tat when i finally do find an original can sell the tinplate traditions version.

Anyway. Good luck to the tinplaters.
