Anybody restored Lionel 2400 series pass cars?

Fec- Give Len Carapelli a try! He does the type of work you're talking about.Plus, he has written articles for CTT as well. Look for his ad in a current issue. Take Care

I picked up a set of 3 027 passenger cars - 2436, 2432, 2434 - all alittle rough but for under $50. Anyone attempt to restore a set of these cars. I also picked up 2343's in rough condition and those will be restored by L&M - possibly FEC, Santa Fe or Western Pacific - still debating. Anyone restore these to look new or change road names? I know its easier to pickup a set of Williams but probably not as fun!
