TAS has a high intensity LED headlight that you might want to check out. The say you will never need to change the lamp. I installed one in a Williams diesel and love it.

Thanks for the link Buckeye. I emailed them to see if they have a replacement for this type of light which is this here (for the SF in the OP):

Not sure why MTH made such a light assembly like that, they should have made a simple-bayonet type fixture like the CSX has.

There's several CTT advertisers that sell 'screw-in' LED bulbs of all sorts. I think some are even on this webpage.

How to Replace a Bulb for this Type Loco?

I am wondering how one would go about replacing a bulb for this type of diesel engine. The engine in this pic below is the Santa Fe Dash-8 engine, which is the MTH PS1 loco. It's apparent that I wont be able to replace this one that easily because of the way it's made.

And for this CSX SD-60M locomotive (also MTH PS1) I think an LED-type bulb would work ok in this? And if so where can I find the LED-type bulbs? It would sure help against having to change bulbs when they blow out.

Many Thanks! [:)]
