KW transformer humming but no variable output on both A &B

The 20-150 is a 10-ampere circuit breaker used in the KW since 1957. The proper one for a ZW is the Z-22; for the ZW-R it's the ZW-232. The Z-22 is a 15-ampere breaker; and the ZW-232 probably is too.

I have to look to see if C and D work. I just tried to run my engines and both controllers are not powering. Now I pulled my case off and this one wire was dangling but can't figure out where it came off of. I wonder if that is the problem all along. I downloaded the KW diagram off Olsens. Thanks

I bought a breaker from a show 20-150. I have no idea where this unit is. Have a clue? Also, do you have to drill the welds to access the bottom to replace the cord?

You say you get nothing from A and B. What about C and D? If they work, the problem is not with the circuit breaker.

But, if it is the circuit breaker, I would advise you not to replace it. Instead put separate circuit breakers on the individual outputs. You can get suitable ones cheaply at an auto-parts store.

Guys. After all the years, my dads KW won't power my engines. its never been serviced. THe thing hums fine, but I get no power output, like the circuit breaker won't trip back. Now I was at a train show and got a circuit breaker they said will work the KW, but I cannot find anything in the KW that looks like this. ALso, do you have to Drill the welds out to access the insides? To replace the cord, you have to take the bottom off to get at the soldered ends of the power supply.

Can anybody help me with my questions or refer me to a site that deals with KW lionel transformers?
