Lionel O22 Switch Problem
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, February 10, 2006 5:13 AM
When I powered up my track last night to test a section on my new layout, one of the 022 switches immediately threw to the curved direction. I powered down and moved it manually back to the straight direction, then powered back up and it again immediately threw to the curved direction. The switch was being powered by track power and, while I don't plan on powering from track power in the final wiring plan, I was wondering if anyone might know why this was happening?

Thanks.

Do you have the insulating pin properly installed? On the curved portion of an O22 switch, it should be inserted into the outside rail.

Sounds like a insulating pin issue. The pins go on the curve sections bottom rail, or the closest one to the edge.
