Wow, I bought one of those sets when they first came out! I love mine. It's a nice set to be sure. I guess it all depends on who believes owning MTH's first subway train is worth the extra bucks. My own opinion? I'd rather pay the $500 retail price for MTH's new Premier IND R-1 set with Protosound2.

Plain and simple...is $500 too much to pay for the first MTH subway set? Produced in 1998 and retailed at $299. The seller claims it has never been run, still in it's original box and in brand new condition. It has protosounds 1 and a brand new battery.
