Buckeye, you missed an operating section on OGR last night.

Be careful with used RealTrax - those copper connectors are very delicate and can't take too much bending back and forth. I just bought a pair of "like new" 0-72 switches and one of them had two connectors already broken off. I'll just have to solder and jumper the switch when it goes on the permanent layout.

Post it on the OGR Buy and Sale. Realtrax shows up there off and on. Where I found a "bunch" for myself. Ended up the guy lived near here so I picked it up with no shipping cost.

Buckeye,

I have a bunch of RealTrax that I was going to use in a point-to-point run on my screened porch. Because of recent changes in my life, I don't plan to complete this project. The track has been outside on the porch and exposed to the atmosphere. It will need cleaning and the railheads polished, but because it's nickel silver it won't be rusty. I have a dozen or so long straight sections, as well as some short straight sections and enough curves to make 2 complete circles, O-31 and O-42. If you are interested in any of it (you don't have to take it all), please email me. I will do way better than 20% off.

I am starting to see some used track show up at train shows.

As many of you know I am working on an expansion of the layout. In the next six weeks I hope to buy about 70 feet of MTH RealTrax. (When the expansion is complete, I will have gone from about 77 feet of track to 180 feet. )

I know where I can get the track at 20% off MTH's list, plus tax, no shipping.

[?] Anybody know where I can do better?? [?]

For those who are asking why MTH RealTrax, I started with it 1998 and it would be too much of a pain in the [censored] to change, plus it has worked great including the switches.
