Try Internet Hobbies. They seem to have a large variety of model railroading supplies. Hope this helps.

Have you checked the Walthers catalog? The German companies like Faller, Vollmer and Brawa have a lot of stuff that could be used as Christmas scenery. Last year I bought a Brawa lighted Christmas tree which even came with a snowman. Good luck.

Hi,

I us Department 56 for my O gauge layout. The buildings are smaller than 1/48 scale but a little to big for HO. I have some smaller ceramic buildings I purchased from a chain store called F.I.M., They were knockoffs of the Dept. 56 building and were smaller and I was able to get about 12 building for about 7 dollars a piece. I believe the series was called "Kentwood Valley" and each building came with a single light. Other stores such as Hobby Lobby, Walmat, Kmart carry similar knockoff brands (usually seasonal). Ebay could be a good source for these types of buildings.

Trees can also be purchased from these same stores. Generally the pine trees with snow on them, and they usually come in different sizes. If you want more realistic trees, you can try some of the moding supply stores (such as www.scenicexpress.com).

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

Tim P.
