Hey Ya'll

Today I had nothing to do, so I sat down, and took a hard look at the wheels. I know it wasn't the motor, because the wheels would try to turn, and would jerk forward (just slightly) and stop in each direction.

So I looked at the side rods. Note: I did not remove the side rods when I was cleaning and removing some cat hair and some human hair (I have long hair, like most teens).

Then, I noticed the side rods (main) were binding. So I removed the side rods (extra) and left the main ones connecting the wheels. I turned the wheels individually, and soon the problem was solved.

After reamsimdling the side rods, I sent it for a run, and it worked fine. Thanks for the help ya'll.

Check for a small piece of metal, probably steel, caught in the spur gears.

Yes, try what Frank is saying first. Secondly, are you sure it's the motor you hear buzzing? It could be the mechanical reverse unit which is often the case. If the drivers do in fact turn, coax the mechanical reverse a few times. You can also squirt it with some plastic compatible tuner cleaner. This lubricates them and cleans the contacts.

They won't turn, even without power. Do you really think its binding?

probably incorrectly re-installed the side rods.

Take it off teh power and try turning the wheels by hand, you'll probably be able to detect how they are binding.

Hey Ya'll

Just af few minutes ago, I finished internally cleaning my 2055. I wiped thedirt and grease away, and I cleaned non electrical parts far away from electrical wires and parts with warm water and soap.

I also cleaned the inside and outside of the shell with warm water and soap. After it dried, I took it to my humble loop of track, and I tried to run it.

It ran about an inch or two, then the drivers locked themselves and it wouldn't budge. The power was still going to the engine as the headlight was on and I could hear very cleary the buzzing of the motor.

What could have happened and how can I fix it. I don't want to regulate my dear 2055 to a shelf. Please help.
