You might give Model Railroad Auctions a try:

http://www.mrrauctions.com

They are fairly new, but growing and very user friendly.

If you have a Hobby Lobby nearby give it a shot. Forget the mass market toy stores like Kwalmart, target, trains R Not us KB [:0] not even for the holidays. Check newspaper classified for flea market garage sale
dont forget to check MR LHS sites for closeout deals Model Expo in FL is a good one discounts % plus no shipping & no sales tax!
Good luck in your hunting!

Hi,
It's possible to find HO trains very cheaply if you know where to look. Go to garage sales, flea markets, pawn shops, junk stores and antique stores. If you look hard enough you will find some great deals. The people who sell stuff at these places usually know little or nothing about the values of trains. Sometimes they're out to rip you off, but the trains you do find will always outweigh the dissappointments. Nothing's impossible. A friend of mine once paid $10 for a brass HO steamer worth $800 at a garage sale! Good luck in finding the trains you're after!
