I guess welcome aboard may be a bit old-hat......and you've riding for a year anyhow. So how about "welcome to the peanut gallery of questions and answers."? If you have one, you'll get the other from the good folks here. Anyhow, glad you are about the hobby and enjoying children and trains. The former so important and the latter a great vehicle for sharing...............

Here are the wiring instructions. The way I will explain this is : wire color=terminal on underside of platform.

Green=A
Blue=B
White=C
Yellow=D

The two remaining wires are red and black. These get connected to your transformer. I connect these wires to a set of variable voltage terminals on a transformer. The polarity of the wires makes no difference. The owners manual says that the station needs 14-16 volts. The swing should snap back and forth, if it does not, increase the voltage until it does. The swing is the part that the people are mounted on. I found that mine requires 18-20 volts for the swing to snap back and forth. If the swing should happen to get stuck in between cycles, shut off the power to prevent the coil from overheating. Once you shut the power off, tilt the station back and look up under the roof. You will see that there is a small silver lever protruding from the left side of the mechanism. Moving it moves the swing. Move the swing back down and flip the switch to the position where the green light is on. Then increase the voltage and try again.

By way of introduction, I'm relatively new to the hobby (1 year now) and brand new to the forum (visiting for six months and now finally ready to make a grand entrance). So here goes it...

I bought an MTH PRR operating station platform a month or so ago, thinking the animation of disappearing passengers would be a big attraction to my 3 yr old grandson. As luck would have it, I've apparently lost for good the manual with wiring instructions. So now the figures just sit there instead of disappearing.

For the life of me, I can't deduce what MTH had in mind as far as wiring. The MTH website does not provide a manual for downloading, and I've forgotten what seemed so logical when I first read the Installation instructions.

Would anybody in the forum be able to provide any guidance? A soft copy of the manual would be great if any are out there to be had, but truly any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
