Island Trains
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 30, 2006 10:34 PM
Has anybody dealt with them? Does anybody know if something happened to them?

I ordered stuff from them over 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them. I e-mailed them and no response. I called them several times today and no answer. Any ideas?

I've heard both good and bad about Island. We get an "Island Trains" thread about every 2 months or so. I only had dealings with them once, and the order got screwed-up (due to a Website glitch). I'm sure others will weigh-in shortly.

Regards,
Clint

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I think quite possibly, I might have gotten taken.

I've ordered from Islandtrains before and sometimes there service is a bit slow. I'd wait a few days see if it shows up. Good-luck.

I have ordered from them in the past, probably 1 1/2 years ago, and had no problems. I would suggest that if you can not get in touch soon WATCH your credit card statements.

I just got my Polar Express set last week from them - look on the website, because I think they have a phone number posted right in the middle of the homepage???? I called them with a question over a price prior to placing my order and talked to a young lady.

They have had problems with online ordering in the past, but it was working a couple weeks ago.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

I bought a couple of items on-line though Island Trains and their Ebay counterpart Closeout trains during the past month. No problems. They use DHL too a plus, for this person who has had problems with up's.
