Should be. It is just light mineral oil. So if it does not appear cloudy or otherwise contaminated, give it a try. Use only a few drops at a time to begin with to make sure. If it is gummy or does not flow well - chunk it or put it on the shelf as a collectable.

Roy

I have a bottle of Lionel smoke fluid product No. 909 from the early 60's. Is it safe to use it in a new Pennsy Flyer engine?
