It looks beautiful, so far. Check out the eyes on the Thomas coaches (in the background):

Very nice set, indeed. The detail of it is quite incredible. Too bad that set is no longer avaliable so those who werent able to get in on it have pretty much missed out.

Amazing...I would have never expected it from Lionel. Wonder what it sounds like?

Though the price is mind-boggling. Who wants to pay $2,000 for three cars and two locomotives (one of which is non-powered)? While I would love to have the train, and the price may not be so wild if you consider all the realism and detail, I also think of how many other trains I could buy. This may be slightly off-topic, but...with that same amount of money I could buy an MTH Norfolk Southern SD60 and about....SIXTY-EIGHT intermodal stack cars!! Or I could probably buy all the FasTrack I need for my big layout I'm planning...

Don't get me wrong, though, it would be completely AWESOME to have this train. But, if you can't afford it, why dred over it. Besides, I don't have enough room to install O-72 curves everywhere. Better stick to modeling the midwest. Oh well!![:D][:D][:D][:D]
Long live the BNSF .... AND its paint scheme. SchemerBob

Anyone else notice that the locomotive has the same 2026 number as the postwar steamer?

Nice train set.
