Keep in mind that although Lionel labeled the 1033 a 90 watt transformer, that is the input. Don't count on getting more than about 65 watts out of it.

Terminal A to outside rail (#2 on lockon).
Terminal U to center rail (#1 on lockon).
This gives a variable voltage of 5-16V (A-U), fixed 16V (A-C), and fixed 5V (A-B). The first is for running a train, the last two are for accessories (tho' 5V isn't very useful).

1033 instructions
Posted by thankey on Friday, January 27, 2006 6:58 PM
How can I get a copy of Lionel's 1033 instructions? I'd like a copy but in particular I need to know the hook up directions. This is to run the GM&O RS3 which I received for Christmas on an O-27 shelf switching layout about 15 feet long.
Thanks much.
