Hoge #900
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 9:15 AM
i have this streamliner in a display, but when i went to the stack i couldn't find July/Aug 91 CTT for info. could someone verify the dates the 900 streamliners were offered? i'd guess 1935(?) - 39 seeing the company apparently folded in 39(?)

also correct to assume Hoge's entry into train production had a lot to do with Henry Katz joining the company in 1931? appreciate any information i could develop a 2-3 sentence blurb.

thanks...gary

Henry Katz was certainly involved with Hoge and the name `Tom Thumb` carried on for a while. It seems Hoge trains commenced in 1930, and in 1935 the streamliners were introduced,. In 1939 however the Hoge train line was discontinued.
