I would suggest you take a look at this web page
http://www.thortrains.net/

and then if you need more help email Thor. He is very knowledgable about designing all sorts of layouts. I bet he knows where you can get templates for the computer or for just plain paper.

I purchased the RRTrack Fastrack sample disc for about $20. It has a bunch of layout examples for many different sizes.

I'm actually using one of the examples for my 8' X 12' L-shaped layout.

Totally recommended.

Ditto about the RRTrack program. It will cost about $100, but is worth it in that you can get a good feel for how things will work and even plan accessories.

Fastrack template

I have recently gotten back into model trains. Just purchased a Lionel set with fastrack. Having negotiated a right-of-way in what used to be our hot tub room, I am looking to develop an initial layout. Does anyone know if there is a template to help with developing track plans using Lionel's fastrack? Lionel corporation was of no help, nor was my dealer. Thanks. Frank
