identify lionel HO trains

I need help to identify some lionel HO trains. I found an old box of my trains, no track and would like to find out any info I can. I have pic's of them to help. I think about early 70's. may be late 60's. can anyone help. THANKS[?]

Well, you may get better info down on the Model Railroader forum, though many here have been in HO before. Also you would want to post some pictures or at least some description of the engines & cars along with their road numbers & names . Hope this helps !

Well, as far as age goes, the 0636 steam engine is a Lionel product from the postwar era and would date from the late 50's or 60's. I'm not sure what year they stopped making it, but Lionel last catalogued HO trains in 1967, so it may date as late as then. They resumed production of HO again in the 70's, but this engine is from the earlier series. By the way, it is a model of a 4-6-2 Pacific type steam locomotive.
