The Doctor is In! This is slightly off topic, But speaking of back issues, I just finished reading the sept.1993 CTT Issue. Saw Elliott'st Mall of America layout. Talk about a blast from the past !!! Ellioit, You are the Man!!![bow][bow][bow] I am not worthy, I am but a humble evil doctor. Your information on all things three rail has been made more important to me after reading that article. I again bow to your greatness!!!!

Overlord,
I hate to bring up the "other guys", but they have thier entire collection on disk that you can purchase. It would make it easy to search and look up a specific fix, or idea. Just something to think about. I too recently obtained some older CTT and have found plenty of great information, but the wife would look down on my getting all the back issues. One problem i have with the PDF files, is that I have had a few computer crashes, if my system went down and I lost the PDF files, I am out of luck, if we had disks, we could just upload again.
Respectfully,
Dennis

I enjoyed the most recent reprint article on powering 027 switches.

I would think that CTT can revisit DCS and TMCC at some point. There's always new material to add to that, and should, of course be simplified with diagrams for Luddites

While I have been fighting this pnemonia and lung infection thing,
I dug out all my old copies of CTT and have been reading them over.
I know exactly what Chief is saying. I have seen a lot of really nice
articles from the 90's issues. There are also a lot of ads for things
that you don't see anymore.
I especially, liked the articles on how to fix things.

Do some more things like the billboards and etc. That is a little "extra" to the magazine. Thanks

Hi Frank,
You may eventually see some of the older items released as PDFs, but I'm not sure if any will be reprinted in the magazine, though its possible some might return in a pickup book.

BTW I think we've done cardstock billboards three times and we did a sheet of cardstock cargo crates once.

I have been pleasantly given some old issues of CTT. Some date back the early 90's. I just read through the July 2000 issue. Great things like building billboard frames [issue has billboards to cut out] and how to fine tune the Lionel switch tower. The thing that really got me was Collectible Classics in that issue by the "famous" Roger Carp[;)]. Now I'm not going to make you go back into archives and find the item. The article was on the Lionel 1033 transformer. Well written and I could just see the kids on Christmas with their new train sets. I was taken back to the Christmas that I got my first Lionel train set. My Uncle Bill [Dad was not too much into electrical things] teaching me how to put the track together and wire the lockon. This article needs reprinting. [2c]
