Penn Central Locomotive

Did Tyco ever make a green Penn Central version of the Alco Century 430? I seem to remember having one as a kid (early 70s) but can't find any info on it. I've only seen them in GP-20 and F-9 models.

Thanks!

Your question would probably be better suited to the Model Railroader forums, where the HO guys hang out. This forums deals with larger trains like O and S gauge. However, in answer to your question, I seem to remember seeing such a locomotive on ebay some time ago. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure. I can picture it in my mind. Tyco offered uncatalogued versions of many their engines in different paint schemes than they are usually found in. These were produced in limited numbers, either as an experiment with the intention of making it a regular catalogued item or as a special promotion for a certain retailer (ex: Sears). Given this, your memory is probably right. Such an item would be a hard-to-find collectors' item now.

Thanks so much. I'll repost over there.
