Should the green seal on the transformer box be broken.

I recently purchased 2 Lionel starter sets (different times, different dealers). Both sets seemed to be factory sealed, but when I opened the sets, I noticed that the seal on the transformer box in both sets had been broken/cut. Everything seems to work fine but I'm still a little concerned. I asked a 3rd dealer about this, who stated if everything works, he wouldn't be too concerned about it.

Has anyone else ever run into this situation?[?]

CW80's are known to give trouble after some usage. Could be the dealers or Lionel replaced them with the new run. If you have problems, call Lionel. They'll ship a new one with on questions and you don't have to ship the old one back.
