John, it was going to be, then Ed called and asked to have it at his place because he would still have his layout up and running.

I'm greatly intrigued by the important OTTS business you keep mentioning, Tom. My guess is that all active members are going to plan a weekend roadtrip to the Chief's house to construct his layout tables for him. Sort of like a Habitat for Humanity, but for 3 rail trains. [8D]

Am I right?!!!

Well, this is getting interesting. If Chief gets all that help from northerners to build his layout he may have to be nice to everyone north of the M-D lne! I guess miracles can happen.

Now if all these OTTS guys are heading to NY I will need a little advance notice so I can warn my wife to hide. Plus I may have to go to the store to buy more beer!

If Pro Mariner has its way, I may be sending more time above the MD than I want too. [:(] No sweet ice tea nor grits. [V]

After seeing the large size of the OTTS membership (actual numbers of members, not their girth around the waste) I can only conclude that they've decided to bust the club up into 2 factions....the North OTTS and the South OTTS.

I don't think I'd want to belong to a club that'd have me as a member

Just got home for the OTTS meeting. The new project has the overwhelming [tup][tup]

OTTS has been ask by the Western Reserve Model RR Museum to build and operate an ‘O’ gauge layout, 50’ x 24’. They will supply the material, we will supply the labor and designs.

Isn’t this every man’s dream, build a layout, at no cost to you (only your time) and then be able to run your trains on it.

More on this tomorrow.

WOW!!! [:D][wow]

What a great idea! I think it's a super thing to do. Maybe some of us out of town OTTS guys can come down once in a while to help. Sounds like a lot of decisions need to be made.

Thanks Guys, I will be starting on the track plan this weekend. If you look at Jan 06 CTT, page 65, it has a layout about the size and shape that we will be building.

After the track plan, then the benchwork design and building starts. This should happen by spring.

Today I will be stopping by the Museum today to take pic and post the great HO layout that they have. The HO layout is 40' x 16' .
