Hello! Newbie with a "where to get" question.
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 9, 2006 11:25 AM
First of all, I would like to say Hello and say that I have enjoyed reading some of your posts.

I have recently caught the O gauge bug and have been doing a lot of research and question asking and have decided on a new Lionel set. I am interested in the Keystone Super Freight set #6-30000. I chose this set because of the features for when I get serious about the hobby.

The problem is is that I am having a hard time finding a place to get the set for a decent price and I figured you folks would be able to help me out. I will be using the local places for all the accessories, cars, and track, but no one has a set in stock and if they do, it's over suggested retail.

I have found some fairly good deals on the internet but, I just didn't want to jump at something too quickly in case there were better deals to be had. I figured you guys would know of someone with "the killer deal" . I would've been kicking myself if I had just impulsively bought something and then came here and realized I could of gotten it much cheaper.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Robert

No,no, I mean well over list price. Like stupid expensive! I don't mind supporting the local shops with the small things, but I'm gonna have to buy the big ticket items else where. Besides, no one has this set here except 1 place. Thanks!!

Hello Warlock! &[#welcome] Give The Trading Post Train Shop in Cleveland,Ohio a call at: 1-216-661-7300 and give them a try! They sell most New Lionel below MSRP and ship out of State as well.Another place to try is Joseph Gryzobski's Train Shop in Scranton,Pa. Just go to his website and check his listings or give him a call. I've been in his shop & he has a huge inventory there and its no small mom & pop operation either! He advertises in CTT as well. Good Luck.
