Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 9, 2006 12:46 AM
Just bought my first model train at the age of 42. Picked it up at a garage sale but don't know the value.

Lionel Set #HO 5745 25th annaversary
the manual copyright was i believe 1960.

Any help with this info or a referral to where i can find this info will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately my Greenberg's Price Guide doesnt list HO trains. Doing a search on Amazon.com I seen a couple books on Lionel Ho Trains. "Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Ho Trains: 1974-1977" and "Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Ho: 1957-1966". On LionelHO.com, they have that train listed for sale for $400 dollars. The title says "Lionel HO 5745 Southern Pacific Freight Train Set from 1960"

Ofcourse I cant really say how much it is worth, but price depends on: how well the train sets condition is, if it still has the original box, how well the box condition is, if the set still has all the cars and other items that came with the train set.

Sorry that I cant be of much more help to you!!

By the way, welcome to the forums!!
