Did you get an 8 1/2 X 11 [or larger] booklet with your Command Base. I did. Ther are also vidoes from OGR.

http://ogaugerr.com/ go to the OGR Store. Go to Videos. Scroll down the left side and you will see decitated to TMCC [there is one above it taht has Jim Barrett running TMCC on his layout]. The OGR TMCC video will be great help.

Does anyone know of a document/book that describes the TMCC operation as a subject, instead of separate discussions of each component, especially the wiring and the setting up of id numbers when multiples of different controllers are linked together....like, the maximum number of TMCC controllers that can be hooked up in 'daisy chain' fashion?

each pamphlet describes its own wiring and actually give differing limits on the number of devices that can be controlled. it seems the only limit is 99 ENG id's, 99 ACC id's and 99 SW id's

I am trying to control 8 power districts,
with 4 TPCs and 2 BPCs
with 32 switches (Lionel DZ1000) (seems like there are 4 per ASC)
with 12 Engines/Self-powered units - both TMCC and Conventional
with 24 Operating Accessories - seems like 8 simple per ASC and 4 complex per AMC
with 4 uncoupling tracks - seems like 2 per OTC
with 8 operating tracks - seems like 4 per OTC

Any feedback will be appreciated
