55 Chev at Target
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 30, 2005 7:38 PM
My wife found these today, on the toy clearance shelf at Target. They also had an old Mustang

They were marked down from $9.99to $6.99
Not a bad deal for a pre-weathered junker. I got two.
I got one to put on the layout , maybe in an alley behind a filling station. The other one I will give to my brother. He spent the better part of 6 years bringing a wore out 55 Chev from the junkyard to a pretty respetable street rod.
This one shouldn't take him so long.

We need more junk cars to put on our layouts. I would like to see someone come out with a '63 chevy impala with the hood gone, maybe all doors missing, sitting up on blocks with the wheels gone. Of course, the paint would be faded with many rust spots in it. All of the vehicles we buy from people like die cast direct look like they just rolled out of the showroom. That's all well and good, but I would like to see junkky one once and a while too, just to add interest. Don't ask me to take a new one and beat it up. I can't bring myself to do it.
